Nagoya to Kansai? No Problem!

Traveling on a budget can be quite difficult if you're planning to transfer from one place to another. That was our recent experience when we made our way from Nagoya to Osaka, but all in all - it was an incredible experience!

My husband and I was so fortunate to travel with friends to Japan last week. We planned our trip carefully and had tried to budget our expense so we can enjoy our trip.

We arrived at Chubu Centrair Int'l Airport in Nagoya, Sunday evening and stayed for a night. We travelled our way from Nagoya to Osaka on our second day using Kintetsu Limited pass booked via online (¥1900 per head). It requires a base fare which you need purchase at the station (¥2340 per head).

This limited pass can also be bought at the station but opted to buy it online so we can choose our travel time properly. The pass is also convenient, you can purchase it using a debit or a credit card.

Kintetsu Limited express pass is a good option for those who are tight in budget instead of riding a Shinkansen (bullet train).

The travel time is about 2hrs compared to a Shinkansen which is roughly less than an hour. Nevertheless it's still quite good and cheaper.

It is also recommended to use a Kintetsu Rail Pass for those who are planning to travel for 5 days To and Fro Nagoya, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Ise Shima. The price is quite cheaper instead of using a JR West pass in Kansai Area.

The travel time between Kintetsu Nagoya to Osaka Namba using a Rail Pass will take 3 to 4 hrs, so we've decided to buy a limited express pass separately to shorten our travel time to 2hrs.

After we arrived in Osaka, we placed our luggages first through some coin lockers at the station. We made our way from Osaka to Kyoto to visit our first stop - Fushimi Inari Shrine.

After Fushimi Inari, we went to Kiyomizu-dera temple. The travel time is about 20 minutes from Inari via train and bus.

The temple is currently under construction as of the moment but there are many tourists and locals who still wanted to gaze at the beauty of this temple.

We visited Dotonbori at night and stayed at an Airbnb apartment in Osaka.
