Just a short walk from the Tama Center train station on the Keio Line (about an hour long train trip from Tokyo Station), Sanrio Puroland is a Hello Kitty lovers paradise. Even the directional signs on the walk up to the park are covered with Hello Kitty!
One of the most fun things about Sanrio Puroland is the live shows that they do. They draw quite a crowd, but as you can see they are pretty involved and intense - definitely worth the watch! There's also plenty of rides, and character photo opportunities!
You really will find cuteness here everywhere you look - even if you're stopping to get an ice cream from one of the vending machines! Probably one of the cutest ones I've seen!
For more details about ticketing, opening days and hours, and the attractions available, check out their website here.
Harmony Land is located just 30 minutes outside of Beppu, the capital city of Oita Prefecture. If you're in the area checking out one of their many beautiful onsens and you're also a fan of all things Hello Kitty, this might be somewhere that you want to stop in at. A lot of the rides and attractions are geared a bit more to children, but don't let that put you off from visiting! You can still do a bunch of fun things, and there are characters dressed up for plenty of great photo opportunities!
Again, you're going to find Hello Kitty as far as the eye can see. Even the ferris wheel carriages are covered with Sanrio characters!
Like Sanrio Puroland, Harmony Land also holds some shows which are fun for the young and the young at heart! Bright colors, fun music, and the characters you know and love - it's all pretty adorable!
The scenery around the theme park is very pretty too - you can see part of it from the top of the ferris wheel picture here! So peaceful!
Even the teacups are super sweet - Hello Kitty, Keroppi, Pom Pom Purin and Badtz-Maru!
To find out more about the different attractions at Harmony Land, as well as opening hours and admission prices, check out their website here. They do have some days where they are closed (it tends to be Thursdays) so definitely double check their site for the day you plan on going to make sure they're open!
