Kagawa Access Guide

Kagawa, and the prefectures of Shikoku Island, are notorious for being harder to travel to by car and train, due to the limited routes to take. However, it still only means a difference of a couple hours and will not hinder you much.
From Osaka and Kyoto, the train will take around 2 hours. From Tokyo, you can take the Shinkansen to Okayama, and from there you can take the Rapid Marine Liner to Takamatsu Station, Kagawa’s main transportation hub. From Hiroshima, it also takes about an hour and a half to get to Kagawa, which allows many possibilities for Western Japan itineraries. From Tokyo to Kagawa, it takes around ¥12,000.
From Tokyo, Kagawa is an hour and twenty minute flight away to the Takamatsu airport. You can also take a flight to Kansai International Airport and enjoy Osaka and the Kansai region first, if you wish, and take a train from there to Kagawa. All-in-all it should take anywhere from ¥5000 to ¥20,000 for a one-way trip.
