Three of the greenest spots to grab some grub in Japan!

Japan is a place that is blessed with eating options galore. Whether it's a fancy restaurant or a quirky cafe, there's always somewhere great to grab a bite to eat. Where are the greenest places that you can get some grub, though? That's a good question - and here are three answers for you!

Aoyama Flower Market Cafe, Omotesando

Flower shops are such gorgeous places to wander into - the colors and the beautiful fragrances always make me happy. Getting to eat amongst all that is such a lovely experience! The Aoyama Flower Market Cafe serves a variety of teas, sodas and juice - and even some alcoholic beverages if you feel like having a tipple (their mojitos with fresh mint are so refreshing at this time of year!)

As for the food options, they do great salads, and some beautiful dessert options too. Stores have also popped up in Akasaka and Kichijoji, and each store has different items on their menu.

The Omotesando location can be found at 〒107-0062 Tokyo, Minato, Minamiaoyama, 5 Chome−1−2 青山エリービル1F.

Les Grands Arbres, Hiroo

This little cafe in the trendy Tokyo suburb of Hiroo looks like something out of a fairytale. The menu options here are both tasty and healthy - some of their choices include things like focaccia sandwiches, various soups, salads, and hummus served with bread. Never fear though, if something a bit indulgent is more of what you're after, they do have a great range of desserts - choices like apple and lemon tarts, tiramisu tarts, and chocolate gateau are some of the delicious choices available to you.

The treehouse portion of the building here is just for decoration - but it definitely is charming!

You can find Les Grands Arbres at〒106-0047 東京都港区南麻布5-15-11 3階.屋上

Nanjya Monjya, Yohohama

Ever had a treehouse as a kid, and spent hours and hours up there? Nanjya Monjya will let you keep living out those dreams as an adult! The cafe is small, so I would recommend against bringing a large party to come and eat here - but it's the perfect spot to head to if you're catching up with just one friend, or traveling as a couple.

The menu too is fairly basic, with some simple options like bagels, scones and curry - but really, to me I'm there for the atmosphere!

Nanjya Monjya can be found at 〒221-0853 Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama, Kanagawa Ward, Mitsuzawa Higashimachi, 5−55- just be aware that due to the small size of the cafe that you may have to wait for a spot to open up (particularly on weekends!)

In a big city, it can be nice to feel like you have a bit of a peaceful oasis - and these three places should hopefully help in achieving that!

Happy Eating, and Enjoy Japan!
