Tottori 1-day-tour Itinerary

Tottori is rather small in terms of size, which allows easy transportation between points of interest and tourist spots. If you are planning on having as much fun possible in one day, we recommend you start off from Tottori Station due to its ease of access and relative proximity.

Day 1
From Tottori Station, you can take a variety of buses and trains, but the best one to take is the Loop Kirinjishi Bus, as it goes to most major tourist destinations. You can buy a day pass for 300 yen as an adult, and 150 yen as a child. From the station, take the bus to the Tottori Sand Musuem, and enjoy the displays, which change depending on the year. If you feeling more energetic, you can also rent a sand board in the Tottori Sand Dunes, a short walk away from the museum. Once you’ve had your fill of sand-filled fun, take another bus to the Karo Port, Tottori’s main fish market, to have delicious seafood from the northern coast. All of the destinations are on the Kirinjishi bus line, making touring very easy.
