Saitama Access Guide

Saitama is by far the easiest to get to in terms of transportation. Because it is right next to Tokyo, there is basically no need to take the airplane, as there is a largely developed train network going to and from Saitama and Tokyo.

From Ikebukuro, you can take an express train and get to Saitama in 80 minutes. You can also take the Chuo Line from Shinjuku Station to get to Saitama, but it will take longer and be more crowded. If you are planning to go to the COEDO brewery, you may want to rent a car as it is a little out of the way. While Saitama is close to Tokyo, it is still a relatively large prefecture, and some tourist destinations may require some bus rides or driving to get to.
