While the original writer recommended 12 viewing spots, I'll just share 5 of them. Please feel free to read the original post as per attached at the bottom of the article :)

1. Naha, Okinawa - Yogi Park
As early as January, cherry blossoms can be seen in Okinawa. You can find cherry trees wherever you go in Okinawa, and many of them are of the stronger pink variety, contrary to the more famous pale pink one. If you are in Okinawa's capital, Naha, Yogi park is a good choice for a cherry blossom viewing spot where 400 cherry trees are lined along the river.

2. Kagoshima, Kyuushu - Yoshino Park
According to forecast, Cherry blossoms' first bloom can be seen during mid March, while full bloom by end of March. One of the recommended viewing spot is in Yoshino park in Kagoshima city. This park is admission-free and it is open until 5 pm.

3. Fukuoka, Kyuushu - Fukuoka Castle Ruins – Maizuru park
According to forecast, Cherry blossoms' first bloom can be seen during mid March, while full bloom by end of March. In the middle of Maizuru park in Fukuoka, you can find the remains of the Fukuoka castle that used to be the biggest castle in Kyushu during the Edo period. The main citadel will be the best viewing spot where you can have a panorama view of the castle ground covered in pink.

4. Hiroshima - Hiroshima Castle
According to forecast, Cherry blossoms' first bloom can be seen during mid March, while full bloom by end of March. With 450 cherry trees, the landscape has been a very popular viewing spot for both locals and tourists. Some of the viewing spots may have charges and a limited opening hours.

5. Shizuoka - Shimada city cherry blossom tunnel
According to forecast, Cherry blossoms' first bloom can be seen during mid March, while full bloom by end of March. The Shimada city cherry blossom tunnel in Shizuoka creates a nostalgic experience combining cherry blossoms and a ride on an old-style steam locomotive train. Psst, as to addition to the heart-filled experience, the special Kawane Cherry Blossom Festival from March 25th to April 9th will completely blow your mind.
