3 Reasons Why You Should Visit Ueno Park With Your Family In Spring

Tokyo`s Ueno is one of the most interesting and fun places to go with your family as it has not only giant museums such as the Tokyo National Museum, educational centers such as Ueno Gakuen University, religious places such as Tosho-gu Shinto Shrine, but also very popular relaxation hubs such as the Ueno Park. Here are 3 reasons why you should visit Ueno Park with your family, especially in spring!

1. Cherry Blossoms

Did you know that Ueno Park is one of the best places to see cherry blossoms in entire Tokyo? People flock to this place to enjoy the world turning cherry and to spend time with their families picnicing. The famous Ueno Zoo and the monumental National Museum are located inside the Park, which makes it the perfect place to visit. One of the reasons why this place is popular among hanami lovers is that the flowers here actually bloom a few days earlier, when you put in comparison with other parks. Usually, the season starts there around early April, thus making Ueno Zoo the best place to visit during the spring. With approximately thousand trees, Ueno Park gets totally luscious with flower petals scattered around ponds such as Shinobazu.
2. Pandas

Ueno Zoo is, without any doubt, one of the best zoological parks in the entire country. The place is so huge that nearly 450 different types of animals are sheltered here, the most famous ones being the 40 varieties of native monkeys and, who could miss, the Giant Panda. Recently, a new baby panda namely Xiang Xiang has come into life because of the proper care taken by the staff. You do know that pandas are endangered and they take like hella lotta time to get intimate, some of them don`t even think about reproduction and get busy rolling in the mud instead. The spring is again the best time to score tickets!

During hanami, food joints to handmade goods` sellers pop up all over the park, thus attracting many people. The spring and summer seasons always have some or the other event happenig in the premises of the park. Also, there is a very long and popular flea market nearby namely 'Amemura Yokochou', which gets crowded during traditional Japanese festivals and the New Year. You can find small goods, from cheap clothes to household accessories, there.

The aforementioned reasons are just three among several reasons why you should visit Ueno Zoo during spring. The place is huge and you can literally stroll around whole day with your kids.
