MUJI Diner 🍽

After exploring all six floors of MUJI Ginza, I'm sure many of us are sure to work up our appetites. Instead of heading out to look for a place to eat, simply head down to their basement level to try out the newly opened MUJI Diner.

Following its ideals of creating products that are elegant simplicity and conscientious design, they’ve also made sure that their food reflects their ideals.

“Taking our cue from the culture of food and cooking methods have been safeguarded for generations, we cook our ingredients as simply as possible to draw out their natural flavors. We keep the use of chemical condiments to a minimum, and we use no preservatives whatsoever.”

Breakfast is about “tuning your body at the start of the day”

If you are an early riser, or simply just want to start off your day with a nutritious breakfast, head to MUJI Diner to try their breakfast menu. You'll be able to enjoy a soy milk congee or onigiri (rice ball) 🍙 wrapped in a crispy sheet of seaweed along with some pickled Japanese vegetables and miso soup and more. Miso happy 😋

Breakfast is served from 7:30~11:00

Lunch is about enjoying a “delicious set meal”

For lunch, MUJI Diner offers freshly caught fish 🐟that’s been delivered every morning from the fishing port of Odawara in Kanagawa prefecture. Enjoy your grilled fish along with the generous serving of seasonal vegetables from the salad bar.

Grilled fish set meal 1200YEN + tax

Lunch is served from 11:00~14:00

Dinner theme is about “everyone around the dinner table”

Gather at MUJI Diner for a home cooked meal where they not only serve freshly caught fish but meat and vegetables that have been carefully selected from different regions across Japan. You'll be able to enjoy seasonal grilled dishes along with platters of meat and fish that can be shared.

Dinner is served from 17:00~22:00

make your reservations using the MUJI Passport App 📱

It's no surprise that when we visited, there was a line of people waiting to try MUJI Diner out. To avoid the long lines, get ahead by booking your reservation online (navigation only available in Japanese) or using the MUJI Passport app (iOS/Android). Head to the menu icon and scroll to where it says, MUJI Diner. The app will allow you to book up to 60 days in advance.

Relax at the MUJI HOTEL ✨

If you are thinking about finding a place to stay in central Tokyo, then head up to the 6th floor of the Ginza store where you'll be welcomed into the warm lit hotel lobby.

MUJI Hotel Ginza offers a total of 79 rooms of simple, stylish comfortable rooms that's sure to help you relax after a long day of walking and sightseeing around town.

All of the rooms are decked out in MUJI products from floor to ceiling. If there's a product that you liked in your room, simply head on down to the lower floors to grab your own.

There's a total of 9 different types of room and the prices range anywhere from 14,900YEN to 55,900YEN a night which is affordable and convenient, considering the hotel being located in the heart of Tokyo.

Grab a bite at Wa on the 6th floor

If you are craving to eat some traditional obanzai dishes (traditional style of Japanese cuisine native to Kyoto), then head to the hotel lobby on the 6th floor, where you'll be able to enjoy obanzai dishes using seasonal ingredients.
