About this sight

The atelier (studio) of Yuzo Saeki, one of Japan's most famous Western-style painters, was opened as a memorial museum in 2010. Saeki worked in this studio for around four years before his trip to France in 1923, after he returned to Japan in 1926, and until he went to France again in 1927. Information inside the studio includes videos and panel displays about Saeki's life, work, family, and lifestyle.
