About this sight

Opened in 1995, this art museum, designed by Takahiko Yanagisawa and located in Kiba Park. With a focus is on contemporary art following the Second World War, permanent collection works at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo number over 4,700, including "Marilyn Monroe" by Andy Warhol and "Girl with Hair Ribbon" by Roy Lichtenstein among others. Admission to special exhibitions cost extra. In late 2015~early 2016 the gallery held a major retrospective of works by Yoko Ono.
