About this sight

Located next to Kanazawa Castle, this traditional garden with an area of 11.4 hectares is one of the "Three Great Gardens of Japan". It houses a big pond called "Kasumigaike" as well as the oldest fountain in Japan which operates using the natural pressure of the water from the higher pond. Visitors can enjoy a variety of flowers and trees, including plum and cherry blossoms, azaleas and irises, as well as colorful fall foliage.
