About this sight

Often used as a recurring setting in Japanese myths, this shrine is located at the tip of the Shimane peninsula near the Sea of Japan. Due to its beauty and traditional significance, it has been included as a part of "Miho-no-Matsubara," designated as Important Tangible Folk Cultural Property. This shrine is dedicated to Mihotsuhime-no-mikoto, the deity for prosperity, and Kotoshironushi-no-kami, the god of fishery and commerce.
