About this sight

Located in the mountains above Kawazu Town in southeastern Izu, "Kama-daru" (Kettle Waterfall) is the first of seven waterfalls visitors will encounter on a 1-kilometer long walking trail leading through the forest. The remaining six falls are called "Ebi-daru" (Prawn Waterfall), "Hebi-daru" (Snake Waterfall), "Shokei-daru" (First-sight Waterfall), "Kani-daru" (Crab Waterfall), "Deai-daru" (Confluent Waterfall), and "O-daru" (Large Waterfall).
In addition, various statues along the trail depict the two main characters of the famous love story "Izu no Odoriko" (The Izu Dancer) by Kawabata Yasunari.
