About this sight

Sitting on a hill above the town of Arima, visitors can experience luke-warm carbonated onsen water at a well with a covered hut. Arima is one of Japan's three most famous onsen towns. The water source is underground and channeled into the well, which occasionally bubbles up and floods the ground. The tap outside the covered hut has drinkable water and visitors can try a sip of Japan's naturally carbonated water. This water is also used to make Arima Tansan Senbei, the town's signature thin rice crackers. The park also offers a peaceful look-out of the town below.
