About this sight

The Sapporo Odori Park is a main artery of Sapporo City, with various events and festivals taking place here throughout the year. It stretches out from the Sapporo station for about a kilometre, over 12 blocks down the road and is the main venue for the famous Sapporo Snow Festival held every early February.

During the summer months, if presents a pleasant green lung, and is the venue for beer festivals, jazz nights and the fragrance of barbecued corn wafts through the park.

The eastern end of the Odori Park is recognizable by the 150m tall Sapporo TV Tower, which has an observation deck and is a signature photo spot, especially when it is illuminated in the evening. Go to the observation deck at 90m high to enjoy Sapporo’s night view, which is said to be one of the most beautiful in Japan.
