About this sight

The Showa Denko Dome (formerly the Oita Bank Dome) was originally built in 2002 for the football world cup by famous designer, Kisho Kurokawa. Due to the high-end architecture and largest retractable roof in Japan, spectators can enjoy a great view of the pitch from every seat. It is now currently being utilized as the home ground for the J-League football team, Oita Trinity. Seating around 40,000 people, it will also play host to the Rugby World Cup 2019.
