Historical Village of Hokkaido
About this sight
The "Historical Village of Hokkaido" takes you back to the mid 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, when many samurais lost their rank and moved to Hokkaido looking for new opportunities. This museum is an outdoor complex that shows you how these people started their new lives in this unknown environment and worked as farmers and other jobs. During the winter, visitors can enjoy horse sleigh rides and other snow related activities. Closed for the end of year holidays.
