Studio Gokko Improv Workshop

Studio Gokko is the first studio in Japan that was created for the sole purpose of hosting improvisation workshops. Whether you are experienced, or just curious and want to learn more, their workshops will have something for all levels. Tokyo Comedy Store, one of the biggest comedy organizations in Japan hosts workshops every Monday and Thursday until Jan 2020. You can find more information about these events on their facebook page. What the Dickens!

This venue in Ebisu, Tokyo, is a pub and bar that hosts live music and comedy nights, just 3 minutes walking from the station. The Pirates of Tokyo Bay is a comedy group that holds a show every month here, and it features games played in English as well as Japanese. If you have ever watched the show “Who’s Line is it?”, they do similar comedy to that.

Good Heavens! Comedy Club

Standup Tokyo is just what the name suggests, lots and lots of stand-up! Every month, they host about 20 shows and you can choose to go to the nights where new comedians are trying out experimental material, or to the more experienced ones. Occasionally, comedians from oversees will be the headliners so keep a watchful eye out for those events. If you can speak or understand the native language, then they also have nights where the international locals perform entirely in Japanese! Are you up for the challenge? Dospara VR Paradise

This Vr Center allows for a very singular experience with a private room that you can occupy for 30 minutes, while you try out their games. They have a wide variety of games, from action shooters to less action packed ones as well. Photos found on Foursquare

Sega VR

Sega VR located in Akihabara is another good find that features a first person shooter alien game called Mortal Blitz which gives you 30 minutes of in-game action. Their 2 versus 2 game links the player up using cables and their other games like Western Cowboy and Tiger Knight, requires the player to sit on the saddles in a shooter game. Their games offer variety and a fun arcade like experience. Keep in mind that you need to purchase each game that you play separately.

VirtuaLink

VirtuaLink, by the company Konica Minolta offers another unique service that allows 50 participants to share the same space! Players sit in an egg like capsule as they link into their virtual world, allowing for individual explanations and guidance, accompanied by live narration. It is located inside a breathtaking planetarium. I highly recommend going to both!

Sky Circus

Sky Circus is an observatory which has an entire floor dedicated to VR attractions! This place offers a unique experience because it combines their technology with observation, including games like a swing coaster, Tokyo bullet flight, sky trampoline, and more. They even have a a space adventure game where 36 players work together to complete a mission. VR Park

VR PARK in Shibuya has over 10 attractions which include shooting and hunting games as well as a virtual bungee jump! If you want to try all of them, you can purchase their 90 minute ticket, or if you are unsure just buy a one time ticket. This place is located on top of Shinjuku station, so you wont miss it! ZERO LATENCY VR

ZERO LATENCY VR is a facility located in Odaiba in an indoor amusement park called Tokyo Joypolis. What sets this place apart from others is that up to six people can play in the same environment at the same time! It is 1,800 yen per person to play on the weekdays, and on the weekends it is 2,000 yen. Be sure to make reservations in advance as you plan your visit because it cannot changed 14 days before your visit! This is a definite must-try for you and your friends!
