Osaka

About Osaka

As the second largest city in Japan, Osaka is often compared to the capital city Tokyo—both popular travelling destinations in Japan. But some would venture to say that the Osaka has a more lively urban atmosphere that is unique to Kansai.

Local delicacies and shopping are the mainstays of an Osaka tour. If you’re visiting the city for the first time, Dotonbori is an excellent place to sample Kansai’s wonderful flavors. Drop by Osaka Castle Park to see the variations of Shogunate. Also, save at least a day to enjoy the facilities at USJ Universal Studios!

The scenery in Osaka is worth exploring in the changing of seasons. In spring, Osaka Castle’s Nishinomaru Garden is one of the best choices for viewing sakura. In summer, Tenmangu is bustling with summer festivities. In autumn, Kyuanji and Osaka Expo’70 Commemorative Park are beautifully dressed in red leaves. In winter, Sumiyoshi taisha and Katsuouji are crowded with joyful people visiting the shrine in celebration of the new year.
