Neighborhood in Tokyo:

Harajuku

About Harajuku

Harajuku, which is between Shinjuku and Shibuya, it is also known as a ‘teen’ street. However, the style of Harajuku is even more bizarre than that seen in Shibuya. The outfits here will surpass anything you could imagine. The shops are decorated in bright colors, adding to the candy-land vibe. The focal point of Harajuku’s teen culture is Takeshita street which is lined with budget clothes shops, fashion boutiques and vintage stores, all geared towards fashion and trend conscious teens. Harajuku is not only about fashion, clothes and shopping. There are other things to do and see in the area. You can find people singing and dancing in the spacious Yoyogi Park. One of Tokyo’s major shrines, Meiji Jingu is in the center of the park. One of Japan’s biggest toy stores, Kiddy land, can also be found in Harajuku.
