Streaming Essentials | The Gear That Got Me from Zero to Thousands

If Jake’s going to be live-streaming eight hours every day in one of the busiest cities in the world, then he’s going to need some of the best equipment in the business.

JakenbakeLIVE is our resident IRL (In Real Life) Streamer so his equipment list is a little different he uses a custom streaming backpack designed and built by Gunrun - affectionately known as The Gunrun Backpack.

This design used by many of the worlds top IRL broadcasters to provide consistent and stable high-quality video content from wherever a cellular data connection is available.

We couldn't possibly do the backpack justice, so head over to Gunrun's website where he details all of the specs: https://www.gunrun.tv/backpack

That bag is a very impressive set up for Live-stream, a part of me wants to say it's overkill but that's ignorant of me, given the quality you're getting out of that kind of set up.
I used to dabble in live-streams years ago when I was a tiny gamer channel. IRL wasn't even a thing at the time, not even the creative tab which is where I would technically belong since I am an artist. I'll have to take a look into IRL streaming whenever I visit Japan, I think it'll be a lot of fun.
Thanks for this Jake!

Any advice for SIM Cards or mobile data plans that provide unlimited & unthrottled data?
I can't seem to find anything online that does both unlimited & unthrottled data.
Are there pocket wifi egg services that might offer 4G LTE or faster, unlimited & unthrottled data plans?
I'd love to be able to afford the backpack and the data plan required to stream in the same way Jake does, but until then I need a more practical solution for my cellphone and gimbal stabilizer setup for all my walking and eating livestreams.
Any help or nudges in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Absolutely!! Jake definitely stresses how necessary it is to have a phone charger, so if you're considering using your phone camera for your first IRL stream, make sure you charge up!
